This is the very start of an applique mini quilt. So far the appliqueing hasn't given me too much trouble (aside from trying my short patience) but I'm hoping in the end, after all the pressing, stitching, pulling, prodding, rearanging, accidentally sewing the wrong piece and then teearing it out, it will be a flirty little 30's-looking quilt.
These are the fantastic, fabulous, ffff-adorable, fabrics i bought today :) I'm planning on making a quilt with them but i can barely bring myself to cut into these creatures.
The other day I went on an explore. the kind that one goes I on when they are very small. I recovered my love for digging up rocks in my driveway. And felt very at home at a time in my life where i am ripe with change. So i started a prayer (non religious for me) flag, and wished for home to always be in my heart. I think big kids should continue to play :)
I'm 19 and just wrapped up my first year of university and am heading into a summer digital arts class. Art and crafting has always been a part of my life but over time it has come to mean more and more to me. Now it is a means by which i find myself and my world.
